The water on the Fraser river in Fort Langley was as still as I’ve ever seen it today. These photos were taken about an hour after the whole area was blanketed in fog. The crystal clear water reflected perfectly blue January sky.

I got a little sidetracked by the good weather and school Spring Break last week, so I have to make up for the photos I didn’t post. Otherwise, I’ll never make it to 365 in time for the New Year!!! Bear with me, folks.
This is the lone tulip that is about to burst open in my garden. Kind of pathetic standing all alone.

I am really, really fortunate to have some awesome friends. A couple of my besties brought this beautiful bouquet to me on Friday, which instantly brightened my day…my whole weekend!!! When I see that intense pop of colour every time I walk through my kitchen, I think “In your face, Winter!!!” How can you not feel better when you see such beauty?
Actually, I love winter, can’t deny it, but it’s time for some colour outside and in.

Whenever I complain about the crummy weather in the Pacific Northwest, the universe kinda kicks my behind! Inevitably, something reminds me how lucky I am to live here. Look at this glorious cluster of blossoms. How can you help but love a place that produces this kind of spectacular spring show-off?

Here’s another photo I swiped out of my BFF’s (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot 4) garden. Thank goodness she’s so creative, or I’d have a hard time coming up with stuff on my own. Bah ha ha ha ha!!!!!

I’ve got a nefarious streak running deep in my veins. It appears I’m willing to take wild risks for a shot! After a fruitless search for signs of spring around my little neighbourhood village, I performed an act of complete desperation, and flat-out sneakiness. I crept into my green-thumbed, somewhat nymph-like, think-she-speaks-to-plants, BFF’s garden, and snapped away without detection or consciense.
Normally, not a big deal, if you ask me, but it just so happens that she’s an awesome photographer with a blog of her own that needs to be fuelled daily too (check her out at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot 4). However, she kinda owes me for sticking a rather humungous paper machier male body part in my front garden in the wee hours of the morning after my 40th birthday party (thank heaven my husband gets up early on weekends to retrieve the newspaper…yikes). Hmmmmm…I don’t think we’re even YET!!!
Most importantly, I got a picture of the only freaking flower blossoms in Ocean Park. Winning!!!!
