What can I say? I’m a sucker for Christmas. I spotted this sweet little nest tucked into a white Christmas tree at my favourite home decor boutique, Romancing the Home. Shhhhhhhh…don’t tell my husband that I was shopping in a home decor boutique! I used to have an online home decor boutique and I kept more stuff than I sold, so my house is bursting at the seams with DECOR!!!!
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and Jennifer figured, “Hey! I haven’t used my camera in a long time. Why not start blogging again?” So here I am. Back at it. Pestering you poor people of the internet with my incessant stream of photos.
I just picked up this exquisite tiny Nativity scene at one of my favourite village stores, Romancing the Home in Ocean Park. They’re handcrafted with lead-free pewter in Nova Scotia, and 10 percent of the profits go to charity. I’m madly in love with it. It’s seriously about four inches across, and I have it on my kitchen window sill so we get to see it all the time. It’s important for my family to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Today was Ocean Park Day, which is the annual festival in our little neighbourhood shopping area. Not even the rain can stop me from sniffing out cotton candy and hot dogs!
One of my must-see shops is Romancing The Home, a gorgeous little home decor shop. Today they were hosting a Pop-Up shop of Festive Nest artisans products. I was delighted to meet Angela, from La La’s Land (below). Festive Nest hosts vintage artisan sales in a barn on a local farm, and I’m dying to go to the next one!
These are the lovely ladies of JJ & Whiskey–one of my all-time favourite clothing stores. I’m so lucky to live in a close-knit neighbourhood, where we all know each other!
Just thought I’d show you the flip flops I bought there last week. The black ones with the olive-yellow straps. So comfy!
After a hot dog, some butter chicken & rice, and a big hot latte, I had to come home for a nap!
