Project 365 Photos: #75

White Rock beach on a cold April morning. I never get tired of this magical place–it’s just good for the soul. Do you have a special place that makes you happy and brings you peace?

front porch spruce up…

It’s that time of year when I start paying more attention to the little details on my front porch, like all the cobwebs, dirt, raccoon footprints on my chair cushions…it’s endless. Almost time for a fresh lick of paint on the deck too. Gotta love spring!

cherry extravaganza…

Project 365 Photos: #69

These glorious old trees line both sides of the street around the corner from my home. I love to pause as I walk across the street to get the full effect of this cherry extravaganza (they’re probably plum trees and I’m getting it completely wrong)! We’ve been lucky this year because it hasn’t been raining, and the blossoms get a chance to absolutely show off. How lucky am I?!

crocus love…

I can’t resist these sturdy little harbingers of spring. They’re the perfect little flowers, standing straight and proud, even in the frigid temperatures. I defy you to pass a crocus without smiling đŸ™‚

cherry blossoms…

Project 365 Photos: #61

It’s snowing in most of the province, but in our little corner of BC, it’s snowing blossoms instead. It’s the beginning of cherry blossom season, and everything is looking a whole lot prettier around here!

flatiron beauty…

Gastown Flatiron

Project 365 Photos: #48

It’s a blustery cold morning here in South Surrey, BC, and it took all the strength I could muster to climb out of bed after hitting the snooze button about a dozen times–always pushing the limit. If I forecast a few years down the line, I can see myself sleeping in until 11 a.m. every morning ’cause I don’t have any kids to drop off at school (nobody tell my husband I said that). But I’ll miss them dearly, unless, of course, they’re still in our darkened family room playing video games at the age of 25, and then I will be plotting their demise!!!!

But I digress…

The photo was snapped in Gastown, Vancouver on Saturday evening. I just love flatiron buildings. They class up a city instantly, and give it a little Parisian flare. N’est-ce pas?
