last minute panic…

Yes, I admit it, I’m smug and annoying! I finished 99.7% of my Christmas shopping two weeks ago, and I’m not above rubbing it in. I attribute it to the magical internet that allows exhausted mothers and fathers to lie in bed at night and do all their shopping đŸ™‚ Now you know why I don’t have a social life.

Unlike me, my husband hasn’t even started his shopping…hmmmm. So, being the fabulous wife that I am (not even exagerating), I have written up a tiny little list of items that I’d like under the tree. It just so happens that I wrote the list while I was visiting one of my suppliers’ show rooms. So here is a taste of some of the “last-minute” gifts my poor hubby can search for on Christmas Eve. (Psst…don’t tell him I’m going to be adding them to my product lineup! A big part of the joy of the season for me is watching him panic!)

These are the greatest little salt & pepper grinders. You can put all sorts of peppers and salts in them. I tested them in the show room and they work very well.

This is a stainless steel counter top composting pail. It comes with a charcoal filter to eliminate odors.

This is a funky little martini shaker. The lid has a built-in measuring cup and strainer for the perfect cocktail.

These are very cool onion goggles. I have it on good authority that Martha Stewart featured them on one of her shows and she and a guest were wearing them. I wonder if they’d work on the ski hill???

inspiration addition…

I just added two new links to my blogroll, and they’re absolutely worthy of a new post.

My hubby, Mark, found The Paris Kitchen for me, and I absolutely love it. It’s hosted by Wendy Lyn, an American food writer, originally from the “deep south”, living in Paris. She helps visitors to Paris find “off-the-radar” spots that in-the-know locals frequent. She offers reviews of amazing foodie spots, and gathers information from top French gastronomes about what their perfect day in Paris would look like. If you’re travelling to France, you absolutely must check out Wendy’s blog. Just makes me want to drop everything and catch the first flight to Paris.

The other link is The Party Dress, a fantastic resource for anyone planning any kind of event. They have great ideas for decorations, center pieces, invitations…everything. I love this blog so much that I just started advertising on it.
