making up for lost time…

TULIP

Project 365 Photos: #70

I got a little sidetracked by the good weather and school Spring Break last week, so I have to make up for the photos I didn’t post. Otherwise, I’ll never make it to 365 in time for the New Year!!! Bear with me, folks.

This is the lone tulip that is about to burst open in my garden. Kind of pathetic standing all alone.

cherry extravaganza…

CHERRYTREE2

Project 365 Photos: #69

These glorious old trees line both sides of the street around the corner from my home. I love to pause as I walk across the street to get the full effect of this cherry extravaganza (they’re probably plum trees and I’m getting it completely wrong)! We’ve been lucky this year because it hasn’t been raining, and the blossoms get a chance to absolutely show off. How lucky am I?!

my, oh my, magnolia…

I literally stopped in my tracks and pulled over my truck to get a shot of this magnificent magnolia tree. It’s the first of a street full of these beautiful trees to bloom. I’m lucky to live where such beauty arrives each spring đŸ™‚

crocus love…

I can’t resist these sturdy little harbingers of spring. They’re the perfect little flowers, standing straight and proud, even in the frigid temperatures. I defy you to pass a crocus without smiling đŸ™‚

cherry blossoms…

It’s snowing in most of the province, but in our little corner of BC, it’s snowing blossoms instead. It’s the beginning of cherry blossom season, and everything is looking a whole lot prettier around here!

Bam! Take that, Winter!

Project 365 Photos: #55

I am really, really fortunate to have some awesome friends. A couple of my besties brought this beautiful bouquet to me on Friday, which instantly brightened my day…my whole weekend!!! When I see that intense pop of colour every time I walk through my kitchen, I think “In your face, Winter!!!” How can you not feel better when you see such beauty?

Actually, I love winter, can’t deny it, but it’s time for some colour outside and in.

spring show-off…

BLOSSOMS

spring blossoms

Project 365 Photos: #53

Whenever I complain about the crummy weather in the Pacific Northwest, the universe kinda kicks my behind! Inevitably, something reminds me how lucky I am to live here. Look at this glorious cluster of blossoms. How can you help but love a place that produces this kind of spectacular spring show-off?
