Project 365 Photos: #52
You can almost see the ghosts from summers past sitting on the sidewalk engrossed in conversation and drinking lattes!
A few crocuses popped up in my garden this week, and I almost jumped for joy. It’s official…I made it through another blah January and February in one piece. Hallelujah! For those of you lucky enough to wake up to sunshine for most of the year, and might not get the reference about January and February, it rains, rains, rains, rains, here in the winter months.
So true in so many ways
How is your sick lad today? Sam is home sick today too. Poor kids.
It is soooooo painful during Jan and Feb!!! Thank goodness we’re coming up for air from the rain. Sounds like the crocuses are too 🙂
I actually saw my neighbour cutting her lawn yesterday. There’s light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
Lovely post! I felt the same about the crocuses coming out a few weeks back, and the primeroses too 🙂
Oh, I love primroses!!!
‘Ghosts from Summers’ past’ Jen?.
I know EXACTLY what you are saying when you express your delight at having got through unscathed from another ‘blah’ January & February though. I’m SURE that there are MANY others who agree with you. I do for one. :).
When it doesn’t rain incessantly here, (which is pretty regularly), Wales surely MUST be one of the Countries with the Highest Yearly Rainfall Rates? in The World, Mind you, at least you can commute from A to B when it rains, (just as long as it isn’t torrential), because once it gets sufficiently cold enough, you wonder how long it will be before it starts to snow.
Once it DOES start, you are ‘marooned’ at Home, & you have no idea as to how long for.
Kev.
The only bright note, is that with the rain comes the beautiful greenery, and I’m sure it’s the same in Wales! Whenever I fly back home, I’m struck by how green and lush my province is, compared with the rest of the country.
Yes, That’s true Jen. Yes it is, 🙂 :).
I see. 🙂
