In Vancouver…

Coal Harbour, Vancouver BC

Project 365 Photos: #51

Sometimes I have to stop and think about how beautiful my home is. I live about 1 hour’s drive south of Vancouver, BC, but I spend a lot of time in this beautiful city. There are so many amazing sights and truly gorgeous natural beauty. It takes my breath away. I love you Vancouver.

  1. Please call me Kev, Jen, It’s MUCH MORE Informal. :-)).

    I’ve never been happy with being christened ‘Kevin’, because whenever I’ve been called that previously, I KNOW that I’m in trouble lol/:-((.

    I’ll have to find a way of including an Alias. :-)).

    • Elizabeth, you’re going to love it. Here are a few spots you must visit:

      * Stanley Park (there’s a seawall all the way around that’s great for an afternoon stroll)
      * Gastown (historic section) Great independent designers have shops here. Lots of wine bars, and great restaurants. Just ask for directions ’cause if you go the wrong way you end up in some dodgy areas.
      * Granville Island (fresh veggies, flowers, artwork)
      * Jericho Beach for a great view of the city
      * 4th Avenue (shopping)
      * Robson Street (shopping)
      * Holt Renfrew (high end designer shopping)
      *Pacific Centre mall (generic shopping)
      * Yelp is a great resource for restaurants around Vancouver. We’re known for our Japanese seafood and there are lots of great sushi restaurants. One of our best-known restaurants is Vij’s. It’s the best Indian food you will find in the world!!!! They don’t take reservations, and you’ll probably have to line up for one of the two seatings, but well worth it.
      * Ambleside beach in West Vancouver (across the Lion’s Gate bridge)
