advice please…

I’m thinking of adding a couple of items this week, and I’d love to get your input…give it to me straight: “Best idea evah” versus “What, are you nuts?”

I’m thinking Brit Chic…tongue-in-cheek…for the hipsters out there!

I bought a set of these mixed plastic flatware sets in Seattle, and they’re the first ones I reach for when I set the table. They’re just so pretty! Again…I’m appealing to the hipster picnicers!!

  1. I love Jack Union stuff (ie: British & royalty). It’s a cute duck but I’m not personally a rubber duck fan.

  2. Duck is awesome, want one right now!!!
Flatware, awesome as well, Jennifer you have great taste and great ideas!

  3. Love the duck, we have grandchildre and I know they would too. As I was born in jolly old Emgland I am rather fond of many things British.
Now the flatware….. oh heck yes. I have the bamboo ones and use them all of the time.
Yay to them both! You have a good eye.

  4. The duck would be great for duck collectors. Me ? not so much.

Love the flatware, especially the pastels. Go for it!

    • Hi Marla…I bought them at a kitchen shop in the University District, but I can’t remember the name of the shop. I just ordered them, so they should be on the website within a couple of weeks!

  5. Stumbling upon your blog, I am so happy to find it! I have been looking to buy these kind of french flatware but always no luck:( would you tell me how I can order those. I must say you are so lucky to find them:)

  6. I like Union Jack stuff but I agree with an earlier comment that unless I had someone specific to buy it for it just wouldn’t make into my cart. The flatware on the other hand is exceptionally cute and versitile. Honestly, we all probably have a few pieces we have laying around the home to make the set even chic and usable. A definate buy…I would probably get a few…one for me and at least one to give as a gift with a few funky napkins..nice hostess gift for a casual party…:)

  7. Bought the red flatware about 8 years ago. Fabulous! However, be aware that they are not dishwasher safe – MUST be hand washed. After years in the dishwasher, my flatware is now pink. Am buying more red.
