this week's giveaway…

I LOVE Giveaways, so here’s one for this week. If you leave comments (remember…the more you leave, the better your chances), you could win a Danica Odessa Amelia apron and matching Odessa oven mitts. I’ll draw a name next Wednesday! This is the newsletter I just sent out to all the Nicole Jane Home subscribers. The only rules are that you have to be at least 18 years old and live in Canada or the U.S.A.

  1. I love the kids rooms and occasionally as I flip through magazines or drift through stores I imagine what I would do with oodles of time and money to give my kids the dream rooms I envision. Then I come home or close the magazine wander upstairs to their bedrooms and open the door to discover that they have marker all over their desk tops from colouring something (not with care) and that the sweater they were wearing is now in a heap on the floor next to the pajamas they took off this morning. And I come to the realization that they just wouldn’t appreciate it as much as I would enjoy it. However, I still love to look and now have taken to trying to slip in a few really cool design elements that shine through the marker and the laundry. I am going to use that pompom fringe on the curtains in the grown up girl room – thanks for the great idea Jennifer

  2. Gift…no way, that apron and oven mitts would most definitely mask the fact that I’m a less-than-stellar cook. It’ll dazzle everyone so much they’ll forget everything is slightly overdone (I have a tendency to set off smoke detectors when I cook).

  3. Love the apron and matching mitts! It speaks of springtime. Unfortunately, it’s freezing here in Spain (yes!) so I’ve been cooking dishes to encourage the “springtime Gods” to come out and shine…my latest, a heartwarming Pea Risotto with lemon and basil. Delicious.

Enjoying your blog very much! Inspiring!

  4. Yay for a blog contest that Canadians can enter! Thanks Nicole Jane! I wake up every morning and see my gorgeous red lamps from Nicole Jane on my bedside tables and am so excited that I found them! They complete my room perfectly!

  5. Ah – wearing a pretty apron always motivates me to cook! I can’t say my cooking or baking is all the good but at least I can look the part! Thanks for the opportunity!

  6. HI Jen,
I am doing mics room now and need some curtain ideas… what do you think… something not too girly, girly… but sophisticated teenager like…
